The big question...
Chicken vs Quail
Choosing between chicken vs quail chicks can be a difficult decision. If you want active and tiny chicks, go for quail. However, if you prefer bigger, easier to hold chicks, go for chicken. The kit comes with 7 chicken eggs or 12 quail eggs. Both options are adorable and perfect for a fun experience. I'm happy to guide you through the hatching process to ensure happy and healthy chicks either way! Check out breed options here!
Quail
Quail chicks are not only cute, but also have fun and playful antics that are sure to bring a smile to any family member's face. They grow at an incredibly fast rate, allowing kids to witness their development in just one week. With the added benefit of getting almost twice as many eggs in the kit, quail are a great choice for any family looking for a unique and rewarding experience. If you choose to keep them, many people successfully raise them in a rabbit hutch. Quail hens start laying eggs as early as 9 weeks old!
Chicken
These little ones come in a range of breeds and colors and are easy to hold and care for. Not only do they make great pets, but they also offer the opportunity to teach children about the responsibility of taking care of animals. Please note that chickens take six months to start laying eggs, so be patient!
